Great story
This book is a hidden gem. I read these books (this is the first of a series) and could not stop reading them as a teen. This narrator is not the best (he is the author) but he is passable and his story is great. Audible... please get the rest of the books in this series. This book is a total cliff-hanger at the end. You must let the audience hear the rest. They are all great books with great storylines.

Great story with historical emphasis
It took a minute to get used to the narration however once I did, it made the story that much better. I loved these books as a kid and really enjoyed it being read by the man himself. I wished more of the series was available!

This is awful!
The narration of this book has to be the worst so far. It was like listening to a fifth grader giving a book report. I lasted for seven chapters. That’s all I could take.

I love this book but I could NOT stand listening to this narration. It sounds like robot. I was disappointed but shut it off. There was no way I could do 8 minutes of this, let alone 8 hours. I tried.
