Kayla and Pavel

Pavel is a sadist with baggage who is fortunate to find Kayla the budding actress with a penchant for pain and domination. There was plenty of romance, but not enough action, and dare I say violence? This is an installment about the Chicago Bratva involving Russian mobsters, right? The author needs to BRING IT for her next book, or I may lose faith in her😕❤️

Dark and dirty!!

The roughness of Benjamin’s voice really gave the edge Pavel needed to come alive when I listened to The Solider. I felt his confusion and inability to process the emotions as he started his journey with Kayla. Pavel is truly a heartless bad boy Russian Dom and like Kayla, I had a hard time reconciling her intense relationship with him at the beginning. But nothing prepares you for their crazy hot chemistry and despite the consensual pain Pavel likes to exert on Kayla, their powerful underlying feelings are never far from the surface. Over time Pavel stole my heart as he came to terms with his growing affection for Kayla outside a D/s relationship including his over powering need to protect her. What a great book!

Kayla

Long distance relationship, the misunderstanding$, the tears and the pain that the characters feel. Even I had wet eyes and had a hard time not to open the last chapter.

Wonderful

Another great narrating job by Benjamin Sands. This happens to be a favorite series that I love them all!!

Love this series!

I miss the female narrator for this series and the endings are a bit abrupt. The books are easy reads and perfectly steamy.

Headphone Melting

This series is so steamy, romantic, and engaging. I find it hard to turn it off. One of my favorite authors and this story does not disappoint.

my thoughts

it's was ok for me it wasn't as funny as the other 3 books, and I was disappointed with the lack of action.

Strength

I love this series! I loved this book. I loved the narration, it was so well done!

Action, spice and a bit of sweetness

I enjoyed Pavel and Kayla's story. There's a bit of action going on here but mostly this couple's book is focused on their BDSM relationship, their evolving emotions, the steam they generated, some drama and on the emotional baggage. I liked these two a lot. I thought they made a perfect match that fit together seamlessly and I found it very easy to feel those made for each other vibes from them. The scenes that these two shared were spicy but there was just the right hint of sweetness that I thought showcased the deep feelings they actually had for each other. The narrators voice was pleasing and the performance well given.

Continues to Be One of My Favorite Series!!

Pavel is a mafia soldier living in Chicago. He was paired with Kayla at a Black Light event – and since has returned to California each weekend to spend time with her. Her dream is to become an actress, so she must stay there.

Constant travel risks his position with his “family”. The long-distance nature of their relationship is fraught with its own risk. Add to that her roommates do not understand the D/s nature of their relationship, and her sorrow as he leaves each weekend.

The depth of characters, the emotional journeys, and the revelation of backstory all combine to create another stellar episode in this fabulous series!
