It has become nothing less than this generation’s The Grapes of Wrath, an inspiring story about keeping hope alive in bleak times and under the most horrendous conditions.

A worthy buy

This book is a must for fans of the Stephen King novella and the 1994 film. It's great from the first world to the last.

A Nice Peek Behind Shawshank's Curtain

I wasn't sure what to expect from this title, but it was a neat little "behind the scenes" glimpse of everything Shawshank. It never dawned on me to look up the actual filming locations, but my family will be planning a road trip to Mansfield for a tour of "The Shawshank Trail "!!!!

Excellent book on one of the truly GREAT movies

very interesting and fun book depicting the background story of the people, places, things, animals and sounds of the story of hope.

Redemption

I was really surprised to see this was a great movie and the book was done by Stephen King. I found the audible book as good as the movie.

Interesting interpretation.

I never thought about the interpretation put forth in this story. I have seen Shawshank Redemption 2-3 times and thought it a good movie. I just may have to watch it again to see what this book is talking about.

Never disappoint to have this one!

I thought I was misleading to a King’s Novel, found regret at beginning, however I love it so much that I listen and enjoy it every much! I think I am going to buy its paperback edition if available! It’s great help for me to understand the movie and King’s book!
