The development of the relationships

I have a problem when the narrator says repeatedly, “he said, “ or “she said,” when it is obvious from the context who is speaking. Quite distracting.

Good Book

Good story and enough twists to keep us interested. I really like how the author doesn’t need sex or bad language. Just a good, enjoyable book to listen to. Good narration as well.

Like an Agatha Christie!

Second in series, and while not quite as good or intense as the first one, it was still enjoyable. I'll definitely continue with the series. The aspect of this book I liked best was how much it reminded me of an Agatha Christie book in terms of story line. Characters are likable and realistic. Very good narrator.

enjoyed good read kept my interest. the story was nit like some older the top and unbelievable .

Austin is so macho.

The characters have brought me in and I’m submerged. I want to know so badly what happened to the wife and what was she in too. I really wish he would at least make the reporter a side piece. He needs it.

Endless surprises and intrigue

Fascinating story that is well crafted and revealed. Was also well performed by the reader who had differentiated voices for each character without them sounding weird or unbelievable. It was a great story that I’m going to want to follow throughout the rest of the series. Finally, the series features a Corgi. A CORGI! You had me at Corgi….

Great story

I love reading or listening to a book and being surprised. This one did that. I enjoy the main characters, and plot twists. glad I stumbled onto this series. I'll start the next one tomorrow probably.

Again- Washington settings that are all familiar to me. The Hansville connections. The Kitsap county sheriffs. This story has you being happy that the killer was caught. And then you still have 2 hours left because that’s not the end of the story! Awesome job! It’s flows well and easy listen! Great story line and the little continuous back story that is looking to grow even bigger! I recommend THIS SERIES to any crime junkie!
