“Through her smooth, dramatic performance, award-winning actor Rosamund Pike amplifies the new audiobook of book one in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.”—BookPage on Eye of the World (Earphones Award winner)

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

In The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor now wields the sword Callandor. He is both the Champion of Light and the Dragon Reborn. Now, he seeks answers to another prophecy that lies with the warrior people known as the Aiel to put him on the path of learning how to wield the One Power.

Accompanied by Moiraine Damodred, Rand arrives at the Aiel Waste and is granted permission by the Wise Ones to enter the sacred city of Rhuidean. After passing through a doorframe ter'angreal, Moiraine gains foresight while the Aiel await Rand's return, either with both arms marked by dragon symbols, validating his identity as He Who Comes With the Dawn, the Chief of Chiefs of all the Aiel—or to never emerge at all.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Hoping for the full series!

Previously mentioned audio glitches are now FIXED!
Rosamund continues to knock it out of the park with these- some of the best audiobook narration I’ve ever heard. Her character work is incredible, and her narration is gripping. Please continue making these through the end of the series!

One of my favorite audiobook narrators!

Rosamund pike performs rather than narrates. While I love Reading/Kramer these are my preferred versions of this series.

Rosamund brings the story to life

I hesitate to listen to more of the series because Rosamund hasn’t narrated them yet. The story itself feels like a grand tapestry has been woven and we are seeing the last quarter of it being woven.

One of the best in the whole series. It gets really good in this book.

I’ve read or listened to this book well over a dozen times. Though this is the first time (obviously) with Rosamund Pike voicing it. I love the Michael Kramer and Kate Reading versions and have listened many times. It’s hard to say which version I like better, but pike is absolutely amazing. Her ability to voice so many different characters by herself is uncanny. She does a masterful job. It may take ten years but I hope she finishes recording the entire series. Wheel of time remains my absolute all time favorite. There is nothing like it in scale. It is truly epic fantasy as it’s best.

Excellent narration

I read the books long ago and felt there was a certain cheesyness. Listening to them narrated this way has let me appreciate aspects of the characters and story that I missed when I did the reading. Really was a skilful acting performance and not just a reading. cant wait for the next one to be released

Rosamund Pike is unmatched

Every book in this series has been masterfully narrated and leave a work of art. I have never been so enthralled than when listening to The Shadow Rising. my only complain with this book is the various skipping during the beginning of some chapters, something that wasn't an issue is previous novels.

The Reading WoT Deserves!

The clarity, emotional range, and character voices are accurate to their descriptions. This is an incredible performance!

Amazing Narration

Rosamund Pike doesn't just narrate, she acts out the story. Her voices and accents really give the feel to the different lands in the story. 100% recommend!

Not entirely predictable

Story seems very similar to Dune in a lot of ways. not necessarily a bad thing but makes it slightly more predictable.

Audio has a major issue! Gets whisper quiet just before blasting ly loud for songs, cries, chants. This is awful and needs to be corrected in this version and future ones.

Love me some pike

I have loved getting into this series and this was definitely my favorite one of the series up to this point! Pike does an amazing job with all the characters and I love the parts where characters are singing and the editors layer her voice and I love it! The only criticism I could give is sometimes I feel it mixed a little too quiet and on volume and it’s pretty quiet.
