absolutely wonderful

we definitely need another book to finish out the storyline. the book leaves you wanting more and I know I'm not the only one.

Amazing narration!

Great story that is applicable to politics today. Abby Craden did an amazing job narrating!!

Compelling story and narrator

Wood and Craden have combined to create a timely telling in today’s world. The two main characters‘ emotions are expressed so clearly, I couldn’t stop listening. I am impatiently waiting for the sequel to The Senator’s Widow.

so fun.

i’ve been trying to get back into reading and trying my hand at queer stories and as an introduction, i was not disappointed! i absolutely love the dynamics between the characters and the way the relationships develop/break so well.

Great suspense

This was a great story. With a lot of action and suspense. A wonderful love story.

Really Good!!

I have to admit, I was debating on getting this book. I hadn’t heard from this author but I took my chances seeing that the GOAT was the narrator. I was very surprised to realize just how good this book was and of course narration was top notch as her usual! I definitely recommend this one and only wish I had listened to it sooner.

Action-packed love story.

I loved the author’s detail of Appalachian culture and the on-the-edge-of-your-seat action. Things don’t get too gory, but the action was well done. Not a ton of sex, but the important scene was hot. Abby Craden did such a great job with the accent- and as usual- she nailed the narration.

Worth it so worth it

I love the accents, twists and turns. Enough suspense to keep me going for more

I'm not even finished yet...

I'm only about halfway through, but I had to just pause and say how much I'm enjoying this story. The writing is so elegant and immersive, and the characters are well developed. And of course Abby Craden is just phenomenal. My only disappointment is that this seems to be the only romance book from this author. I hope we get more romance from Ms. Wood! There are only two other lesbian romance writers that I enjoy this much.
