Compelling story and narrator
Wood and Craden have combined to create a timely telling in today’s world. The two main characters‘ emotions are expressed so clearly, I couldn’t stop listening. I am impatiently waiting for the sequel to The Senator’s Widow.

Action-packed love story.
I loved the author’s detail of Appalachian culture and the on-the-edge-of-your-seat action. Things don’t get too gory, but the action was well done. Not a ton of sex, but the important scene was hot. Abby Craden did such a great job with the accent- and as usual- she nailed the narration.

Great story and reader
This story is well worth the listen. I always love the books Abby reads especially when the author is such a good story teller! The suspense kept me reading and reading! A+ all around! Great mystery and leaves me with hope for America! What a way to reimagine America!
