Not for me

This was a book club choice. I listened for a couple of hours and found that I really did not care about the characters or the story as a whole.

Beautiful, heartfelt book

I loved this book by Washington State Author Erica Bauermeister. Intricate and lovely characters and stories within one story, along with a love of food and some tips on kindness, elegance and gentle behavior.

Very enjoyable

I read others reviews before starting this book and a concern was character development. I looked at it from a different perspective… when meeting new people, you only get slices of the life they lived and the journey they’re on going forward.
I love the narrator and found the book enjoyable.

Started slow, almost stopped listening, but so happy I didn’t give up. Beautiful characters. Loved it!

A feast of words.

The lyrical prose of this novel was deftly read, capturing the essence of each life in the cooking class.

Exquisite!

This book is warm, sensual, comforting, and delicious in a way that maybe only foodies will understand. Lives and relationships meet and intertwine under Lillian's gentle, intuitive eye. My only regret is that it ended too soon.

I was expecting so much more. Maybe text version better than audio. Hard to follow multiple characters.

It’s Essential you read this book!

You can’t ever go wrong with Cassandra Campbell narrating, she brings the characters to life.
This is the first book I have read by Erica Bauermeister - and I’m now going to download all her books. I loved her characters and description of each, I felt I was right there cooking with them and became one of the group. Just an overall joyful book and narration!
