Angsty with an Interesting Twist

4.5 stars ⭐️ The Rocker’s Muse is a new standalone with an age gap, small town, rockstar, and forbidden. Emily wanted to find Tristan to tell him a truth he needed to know. Ashley a famous rockstar, getting close to him was easier than Emily planned. She went to work for his band. What neither Emily nor Tristan planned was falling for each other. This novel had the angst, the twists and the emotional maturity that I’ve come to expect from a Penelope Ward novel. The characters were well developed. The romance, while on the slower side, was full of chemistry, charm, and pining. I thoroughly enjoyed The Rocker’s Muse, which you will have to read the book to understand the meaning behind the title.

Twisty Rock 'n Rollercoaster Ride--Loved it!

This is my first book by Penelope Ward. I really enjoyed it. At first, I didnt think I would because of the larger age gap (15 yrs), but Emily is older than her 22 yrs because of things she's had to deal with in her teens. I loved the characters of Emily and Tristan. They connect early on by confiding in each other about some pretty big secrets. But Emily still has one secret that flips their worlds upside down. I found it to be wonderfully twisty, but also heartbreaking for a while. Everything comes to a completely satisfying conclusion that literally takes you to the very end and the last word. I loved it!!

I bought the book because Connor Crais is my favorite narrator. He narrates with Andi Arndt and they are superb in this! It's truly a talent how they are able to be so expressive with just their voices, and I am in awe! They are both so easy to listen to, and time just seemed to fly. I could not put it down and finished in a single session. Complete enjoyment!

WOW!

I can't even express how much I enjoyed and loved this story! I laughed and cried and just couldn't get enough of Tristan and Emily. Plus this is the first audible that I've had the pleasure of listening to Connor Craise...OMG! He has now been added to my favorite male narrators along with Sabastian York and Zachary Weber! And, of course, Andi Arndt is my absolute favorite female narrator! Well, done Penelope! So excited for Atticus' story in February. Thank you for never disappointing me. ❤❤❤

Loved this story & narration so much!

This story way exceeded my expectations in so many ways! Please do yourself a favor and get this book! You won’t be disappointed!! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

thoroughly enjoyed

Honestly I loved the feel of this book from the beginning. . . then half way through the story just flipped (wasn't sure I would like it) but Ms. Ward beautifully layered the story and made it better. . . deeper

Good Story Line!!

I think that it was a good story. Some parts a little bit cheesy. I think the writer missed a lot of good chances in this one were it could have took it over the top! That’s the only reason I give the story 4 stars ⭐️. Most definitely Worth the credit. BBKing!

Phenomenal book

I absolutely love this book. I love the audio in this book. The storyline was beautiful and it did make me cry a little bit, but it was just all in. All great book is very much enjoyed it.

Excellent

This is an amazingly beautiful story of love between Tristan and Emily. They meet by chance and develop a healing bond for both of them. That bond leads to a friendship and then a deeper connection with love. Jacob’s connection to both of them is another element to the story that is inspiring in how he touches their lives. The band members add laugh out loud humor as they all interact. I look forward to the next love story that will include Atticus and Nicole. Connor Crais and Andi Arndt narrate this story perfectly to truly bring the characters to life. I loved this book and the narration and highly recommend the audible version for full enjoyment.

This book has all the feel goods

Loved this book and cannot wait for the next book in this series. Emily and Tristan’s story was heartbreaking but the way they supported and helped each other through what life had dealt them made my heart full. I’ve listened to over 500 titles and this ranks up there as one of my favorites.
