The character development and tge deph of the Story the straightforward progression

This was a masterpiece one of the greatest story I've ever read, I've waited for this audible book for years, thank you for creating this story

the (audio) books of my childhood

my name is Jon, and I have waited for this audio book for a long time. I first listened to the tapestry about three or four years ago, when I was in my early teens, I have probably listened to the first four about television times each. I have yet to find another character I feel I can connect with like I do with Max McDaniels. I have listened to these books through some hard times, and through some great. As I grew, I would often associate myself with Max as all kids do with their heros, he got me to start doing mixed martialarts, as well as sword and knife fighting. I loved the story of progression. In most books now a days authors rely on morally ambiguous stories and goals for entertainment. which is so cheap and awful, but I loved how, even though Max had his definite moments, and even entire chapters of weakness, in the end, he was stronger than he had ever been, and it was because he chose to be better, and not be selfish. Unlike Max, I guess I wrote a rather long good bye, but I will say, this has been my favorite book series I have ever read.

Finally a ending!

I've always loved this series and disliked that I couldn't own a physical copy of the last book. When I found this as a audio books I was thrilled that it was finally finished at least in audio book form and no longer a book short

bad voice acting

horrifically awful narration, so much worse then the original, and also one of the worst i’ve ever heard overall

Good… but…

I love this story and the series so much! However, I have a really hard time with the new voices and even mispronunciation of names from the previous 4 books. I wouldn’t mind the new narrator’s voice had he studied the names and way the previous narrator spoke, but he mispronounces the names of people, adds accents to characters and changes the way clans are named. It honestly feels like a completely different book. I loved this series so much, but the way the 5th book is narrated really makes it hard to enjoy. Henry Neff is an amazing writer, the narrator of this book kind of ruined its storyline.

Narration so poor I couldn't listen

The Tapestry series is great. I have only good things to say about Neff's writing. I have enjoyed reading all of his books. Narration on the the previous books was excellent! I had no reason to think this would be different. Wrong.

This narration is so poor, the phrasing so odd, I thought you were using AI. It's easier listening to Alexa reading it.

Sentences break every two words, distracting "voice acting" with random accents, Scáthach's voice sounds like an elderly, parody-Irish, granny.

I'm sorry to be harsh, but the books aren't cheap. The previous books were excellent. I didn't listen to there sample, So that's on me. But please! Pay for quality narration.

Distracting AI

clearly the narrator is an AI generated voice of a real narrator, but has frequent pauses and inflection that are distracting and make the story hard to follow.

narration changed the entire book

I'm sure the narrator is good for other books as he had several accents, so skill isn't so much the issue. But the different inflections and gross mispronunciations totally changed the book. The story line is as good as the others. Maybe, a redo with the other narrator?
