About this listen

The last thing my newly single - and pregnant - neighbor Kinley needs is a fling. So, I make it my job to protect her from guys like me.

Which is the perfect distraction, because I’m suddenly in a whole bunch of hot water.

My coach hates me. And with our team captain now watching my every move, I need to start taking things more seriously.

Forced to walk the straight and narrow or face serious consequences, I’m willing to try something new - being a good guy. But the part of this that’s not an act? Helping out Kinley.

There’s just one problem. The girl I’m falling for? She’s the team captain’s sister.

Kinley is funny and sweet and she’s...um, very pregnant.

And even though my spot on this team depends on it...I can’t let her go.

Love Kinley and Saint's story

This was a great book with Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke narrating. Saint lives a far different life than his name...he's a complete sinner. And most of that is caught by the tabloids, which in turn worries the team he plays for. They don't need the bad publicity around his excursions. So Saint must now try and live up to his name. He just wasn't planning on feeling anything for his new, and very pregnant, neighbor.

Kinley is trying to start her life over, thanks to the help of her hockey player brother buying her a condo close by to him so that she won't be alone when she has her son. She never expected the sexy man helping her carrying in her packages was going to be her neighbor...or that he plays on the same team as her brother. She sees a different side of Saint than every one else.

It takes time but Saint is finally able to prove that he isn't the sinner he used to be.

Loved it!

This is a short and oh so sweet story of Saint, the bad boy of the hockey team, turned good guy. A combination of instant attraction, friends-to-lovers, redemption, and teammates sister this love story has a little something for everyone. Low angst, enough steam, and plenty of swoony and thoughtful scenes to fill an afternoon lounging on the couch with a perfect feel-good HEA. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were the perfect combination to make you go “awwwwwe”. I was so happy to see Saint get the story he deserved.

Sexy neighbor

This is a short read/listen but worth it. Saint is nothing like his name he is the hockey playboy and trouble is his middle name. But he has been in trouble one to many times now he needs to clean up his act or hang up his hockey stick. Kinley is a soon to be single mother who also is the sister of Walker Reeves . Who is Saints captain not a fan of his. But that doesn’t stop these two because they have chemistry . This is cut sweet story . I enjoyed it. Jason Clark and Erin Mallon did great job

Short but sweet

I’ve loved this series and Saint’s support is no different. In fact, I think I love him the most - something I certainly didn't expect.
After getting into trouble again for off ice antics, Saint has no choice but to stay out of the clubs, away from the bunnies and out of the tabloids. Enter the sweet kenley, very pregnant new neighbor. Their connection and friendship is instant, keeping Saint on the right path and out of trouble. This couple is sweet and electric

3.5 stars simple, sweet and steamy

There really isn’t much of a plot here but this was still very sweet. Saint is just that… a saint. But honestly both characters lacked depth.

Narrators are good, but I will say Erin sounds like she auditioning to become the next Watch Mojo host. Her inflections after almost every sentence drove me a little nuts.

Saint and Kinley

This story was so much more then I expected. At the beginning I figured Saint would be kind of a jerk, but Boy was I wrong. He was charming, loving and jump right into being an undeniably stand up man. I enjoyed going on this adorable and charming journey with Saint and Kinley. Narration is perfection. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon did a fabulous job bringing this story to life.

Good story, just one issue

Okay, so it’s a good, genuine love story. I however am still blown away that any woman would be good with any vaginal activity within days of delivery. You aren’t even allowed to wipe with TP!That completely threw me out of the story because I’m thinking back to my uncomplicated deliveries and how I felt at that time postnatal. Let’s not even consider lochia. Otherwise a good book.

Another KR fail

Uhhhg! I need to stop getting KR books because of the narrators. Sometimes I feel like KR has a really good idea- but then she forgets where she wants to go with the story.

This book has no conflict. No character development. Nothing exciting at all.
I was kind of looking forward to this story as I thought KR did a pretty good job with The Rebel - the last two books of this series have been BORING. I literally looked at my audible app just to make sure the book was really over.
Sadly Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon couldn’t save this book.
