This book combines the characters from the “Gus, the Ghost-Face Dog” series with the characters from “The Dance Team Detectives.” Both sets of characters have a family connection and visit the same family ranch. The characters are older now, and their adventures are even more challenging.
In the first two stories, the Mitchell siblings and cousins investigate the theft of a priceless family heirloom, and then attempt to rescue herds of wildlife from poachers. The next three stories combine the Dance Team Detectives, Candice and Alley with the Mitchell family on time travel adventures.
A secret time portal to the pioneer days has been used over the years since the Mitchells were children, and they now have allowed Candice and Alley into the secret alliance of time travelers. It is exciting to travel back in time, but what if someone from the past accidentally follows you back to the future?
