wonderful narrative performance by Bessie Carter of an absolutely delightful romp through 1930s London with these real life lady sleuths. Historic, funny, thrilling, unexpected. wish I could start it all over for the first time. Sequel please Marie??

The combination of historical fiction and mystery.
It was interesting having the prospective of the crime writers and there were some excellent twists and turns in the plot. However I found it slow moving and repetitive at times.

Another absolutely fabulous book
I just love Marie Benedict’s books and how she weaves non-fiction events with fiction to story tell what could have happened in those unknown instances. I also love to hear how she comes about the story she decides to tell and what pieces are true & which ones are fiction. I love that she brings to light women that may even be unknown to the reader such as it was with me and this equal of Agatha Christy - Dorothy L Sayers.

Sisters Are Doing It for Themselves.
Another page turner from Marie Benedict, one of my favorite authors. I read this as historical fiction the genre the author is known for. If you read this as a mystery toy maybe disappointed.

Intriguing
Five real, brilliant, female, mystery authors showing what women are capable of. Fascinating thought processes in unraveling a real murder. Important message about don’t mess with women! Benedict’s best book yet. I did this as an audiobook and loved the accents.
