It was good

I don't know why but I just couldn't get into the story like that. It wasn't a bad story it just wasn't my cup of tea. I absolutely loved Ken I think he is a great guy I found Charlie to be really immature for my taste. I think it is a cute love story if that is your type of thing. But it just wasn't for me.

Right from the start, I loved the chaotic Vegas wedding setup and the slow unraveling of Charlie and Ken’s chemistry. It’s lighthearted, but the emotional baggage they both carry adds a satisfying weight to the story.

Favorite Moment: The night on the town in Vegas where Charlie and Ken accidentally bond over karaoke and street food before things spiral out of control. This scene had me grinning like a fool—it perfectly sets the stage for the chaos to come.

This story delivers all the drama, humor, and heartfelt moments I love in a romance. If you enjoy second chances, sizzling chemistry, and a bit of chaos, The Pucking Fake Marriage is worth adding to your TBR or audiobook queue!

Sweet enemies to lovers romance

Charlie and Ken's story is fun, emotional, sweet, and heartwarming. They are both interesting characters. Their story is filled with drama, secrets, miscommunication, and twists and turns. Shane Martinez did a good job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Down but not out,lol!

This story is so relatable to anyone down on their luck. But she does things I would only think about and not accutually do. Hockey is a background to the story.

great story

I absolutely love this story. So many heartwarming moments and heart wrenching moments as well. After finding out her boyfriend twin brother Ken is in love with her, Charlie trips and breaks her ankle ruining her chance as a ballerina. Ken goes on to become a famous Hockey player and Charlie is a co-owner of a restaurant. After a "chance" meeting Ken and Charlie spend the night on the town and end up married for real only problem is Ken has no memory of what happened.

It took some time for me to get used to the narrator. It was distracting from the story. There are some inconsistencies in the story line. However, this is a fun and entertaining listen. I will definitely come back to this author! 🎧 🐰

Pucking Fake Marraige!

This is the fourth story in the "Ice Kings" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone read/listen. It does have connected players and their spouse or love interest. This is an interesting story that starts off with Vegas, should I say more. Well there is more to it. The story is about Charlie and Ken, a professional hockey player. Then a real/fake marriage begins which back fires. The story is full of tragedy, drama, family, secrets, freedom, passion, love and more. This is an emotional roller coaster ride with all that transpires. I enjoyed every bit of their story. I love how the players and their wives take it on themselves to push these two to realize a few things.

The Pucking Fake Marriage is a good, and enjoyable hockey spicy marriage of convenience enemies to lovers second chance romance read. The story has a great entertaining world building story line. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining spicy sweet heartwarming romance read. This story is a very good listen.

Needed more from the MFC

Overall this book had some things going for it. It eventually wrapped up the HEA in a satisfying way. And let’s not discredit the often ignored male nipple the author paid some much needed attention to.
However I had a difficult time connecting to the characters, particularly the female lead. I found her to be a bit immature and manipulative. It was hard to get going when the basis of the initial contact was such deception. I wanted more mature emotional connection from the pair- every time there is a misunderstanding they barely communicate and instead just disappear on one another.
