About this listen

Dry, sarcastic, 16-year-old Cam Cooper has spent the last seven years in and out hospitals. The last thing she wants to do in the short life she has left is move 1,500 miles away to Promise, Maine - a place known for the miraculous events that occur there. But it's undeniable that strange things happen in Promise: everlasting sunsets; purple dandelions; flamingoes in the frigid Atlantic; an elusive boy named Asher; and finally, a mysterious envelope containing a list of things for Cam to do before she dies. As Cam checks each item off the list, she finally learns to believe - in love, in herself, and even in miracles.

A debut novel from an immensely talented new writer, The Probability of Miracles crackles with wit, romance, and humor and will leave listeners laughing and crying.

Very bittersweet

I didn't really get to into the book on like the first 3 chapters but after I kept reading more and more I didn't want it to end! It was absolutely fantastic and I sat and cried at the end. This book is a definite must have.

Touching story

If you could sum up The Probability of Miracles in three words, what would they be?

honest expression of teenage feelings facing death.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character, because she could still be surprised by life even though she didn't want to be. She also learned that her attitude and comments, no matter how true, could hurt others. License is not grace.

What about Emma Galvin???s performance did you like?

He voice and narration were perfect for the main character and all the others.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The last scene when she followed the flamingo and her whole family was with her.

Any additional comments?

This story has stayed with me for a long time. I was really rooting for each person.

Good Read

A wonderfully written book on the insight of a teenager with a terminal disease and her family around her. Nice coming of age, with tears.

Such a touching, heart-wrenching story about hope

It's not the acceptance of death, but the acceptance of Life and finding the miracles in every day before death takes over that matters.

I don't like these kind of stories

Would you try another book from Wendy Wunder and/or Emma Galvin?

Emma Galvin .. Maybe
Wendy Wunder .. if it is the same as this one no

Has The Probability of Miracles turned you off from other books in this genre?

yes , because I don't like to read about diseases and death they make me so sad

Which scene was your favorite?

hmm , I don't remember having a favorite scene in this book

Could you see The Probability of Miracles being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I hope not , and if they are planning to do they may have to change things to make it good because the book is so so sad

Any additional comments?

I'm looking for a happy ending that's why I didn't like this book so much
