About this listen

Friendship is rare. Survival? Even rarer.

Colin and his six-legged crocodile companion, Noaich, understand this well. Having built their strength and survived formidable challenges, they are now making unlikely friends—both human and monstrous. Their departure from Rachel's camp marks the beginning of an exciting twist in their journey.

Still feeling new to his role as a Beastmaster, Colin pushes the limits of his power, grinding levels and gaining more than just strength. Hidden secrets of raptor society unravel before him. Along with his new pet, a spiky-tailed armadillo named Wowser, and his loyal friend Noaich, Colin shakes the very foundation of this predator-ruled community.

But new power brings new problems, leading them from one danger into another. Their disruption of raptor society takes them to an isolated town constantly besieged by giant bugs. Colin must devise a plan to stop the relentless insect menace.

With survival hanging by a thread, can Colin and his companions rise above the daunting challenges of a brutal, unpredictable world? Welcome to the relentless struggle of The Primeval Apocalypse 2. Are you ready for the fight?

Pretty good follow up

This book was a pretty good follow up to the initial book in this series. World expands and so to does the main character and his menagerie of monsters

Eeeeeh

You know that one guy that thinks he's really cool and charismatic but isn't? This story kinda feels like someone made that guy get his wish and made him the center of attention. The story seemed like a interesting idea but then everything is muddled with a wannabe funny and witty guy being judgemental and lucky then life working out for him so he's right. There is no wit, the humor isn't actually funny and what person using monsters to fight is consistently holding them back from fighting all the time because they are worried for their safety??? And to top it off the interactions with the female characters makes me think the MC owned a fedora and wore it cause he thought it made him look interesting. The fights are alright but are thrown off by the nonstop trash talk and power tripping. The skill check stuff is a bit annoying but all of this is compounded by the super dramatic narration
