About this listen

“The core of The Power Bible is how to light the mastery and confidence in yourself, at a deep internal level. And using that confidence outwards to clearly see the various frames and agendas being used by the people around you.” (James Altucher)

To have power over another one must first have power over one’s self.

The Power Bible teaches how power operates on both an interpersonal, individual level, and a societal level. Arming the listener with tactics and skills on how to triumph in the contest of life. The Power Bible is an instrument to teach you how to win; to bend, disregard, and strategically break the rules that bind you. Cultivating an awareness for which battles to fight, which ones to pass on, and how to win the moments that matter.

Drawing lessons from their experiences in law, comedy, sales, and relationships, Bill and Brendon present a unique view of the world that has enabled them to overcome challenging life circumstances and ultimately thrive.

The Power Bible -

I thought this was a great read put together by Bill and Brendon. They give practical advice for handling some of today’s thorniest interpersonal conflicts. Readers will learn how to adopt a Champion mindset as opposed to a victim mindset.

Fantastic

I read quite a lot in the performance enhancement space, and so have benefitted immensely as a result. This book stands out as exceptional, it is among the very best books I have ever read on performance enhancement. Do yourself a big favor and take this for a spin, I have already benefitted from the content and instruction in this book.

Superb Deep Dive into Frame Control

This book is expertly crafted. Brendon Lemon and William Beteet III cover so much on personal mastery and mastery of social dynamics.

They give lucid analysis, specific examples and follow up each chapters with exercises that will help you build these lessons into your own life.

If you want to take every aspect of your person to the next level I highly recommend this book. I recommend using the chapters as a curriculum. After reading/listening all the way through once. Go back and integrate the exercises into your daily practice and start to keep your eyes and ears open in social interactions for the dynamics they describe in the frame control chapters.

Cheers

tricked into thinking I would learn something

It's probably my fault for having higher expectations. Also, the 2 authors taking turns was so annoying and william has a strange accent pronouncing "them" as "thum"

Frat boys with little skill

It’s obvious that this random assortment of words were just a means to a quick buck. From the endless ramblings, to the many, many errors in the recording, they just didn’t put in the effort to make this worth wasting a credit on. Enjoy your money and “Greek god body” though I guess lol

poorly narrated and condescending

These two authors made quite a positive impression on me when I listened to them in an episode of the James Altucher Show podcast. I immediately purchased this audiobook, only to have to return it after about an hour of audio.

The first problem is the narration. The authors would benefit from some training in mixing up their intonations to better match the text. It just sounds like they are reading paragraph after paragraph, trying to just plow through the material. A big conclusive paragraph shouldn't sound exactly the same as explaining some minutia of the brain.

Secondly, the authors assume the reader has hit rock bottom and has little self esteem. Hey, some of us just want to go from 70% of potential to >95%. We're not starting from a place that we're ashamed of. Please don't talk down to us as if we are.

I also suspect that this book was only lightly edited. Instead of the usual partnership between writer(s) and editor who work together to produce a book of great ideas told well, we get a list of ideas that neither flow nor work together to form a theme.

Perhaps the book gets better after the first hour. I hope so. For now, I'll call the hour a sunk cost and move on.
