Creepy short story

This would be an awesome beginning of a new series. It’s creepy and a bit scary with a lot of weird thrown in for good measure.

The Portrait

A short but creepy horror tale, aimed at the YA crowd. Karen is attending a summer camp for budding artists and her roommate is a little too weird for most people. The story is pretty good and has the requisite twist at the end that most horror fans like, but I would have liked a little more to the story.

The narrator does a pretty good job, but her voice was a little too "valley girl" for my taste. I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Suspenseful

This was one amazing short story. Horror at its best. The characters and plot complemented each other. The narrator ‘s voice definitely helped.

Intriguing short story
The main character is sent away to art camp. Her roommate creates art while in trances. The main character is haunted by the Portrait. I enjoyed the this intriguing short story, the story telling, and narration. Check out this about 30 minutes short story!

Summer Camp Horror

I loved the new twist on the typical summer camp horror story. I could see this as a movie. L.V. Pires has a great visual style. Very creepy and a great payoff at the end. The narration was great!

Great short story! Very well written with wonderful character development. It left me wanting a little more, but that can be a good thing in a horror story. The narrator was super as well. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more by L.V. Pires!

A creepy portrait.

I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator has an excellent voice, just not for horror. She did not,at all, make this story sound spooky.
I wonder, if I would have read it myself, if it would have been better. Her portrait was creepy. The story is very short. The characters are still a mystery to me. They were not at all fleshed out. But I enjoyed the listen.
