Good

The narration by Rebecca Courtney was really good and I would have rated her performance higher if not for a few notable exceptions. She gave Anne a horrible lisp. In the story, Georgiana has a cold and it sounds like it which is fine. However, she still sounds like she has a cold ten plus days into it. That voice got old. I felt like the narrator wasn’t familiar with Wickham’s character, who is supposed to be so charming and irresistible to women. She also gave him a lisp. It just didn’t work for me.

The story is good and held my interest throughout.

Great story! Annoying narrator.

The story was fantastic in itself but the narrator was very distracting. Charachter impersonations were a real struggle for her and it showed. I particularly disliked that she added a pronounced lisp to more than one of them.

Not my favorite...

The tale of Wickham is too far fetched... Ann’s lisp is dreadful and Georgiana sounds like she has a cold or moonlights as a lounge singer. Not my favorite.

Brilliant

I highly recommend this book only if you have a deep love for English literature. The story line was captivating. Rebecca Courtneys' narration was most excellent.

Love it

I read the book when it came out and love it. This audiobook brought the story to life. This is one of the first books in JAFF that had me hooked on the genre.

Gripping murder mystery

Highly recommended to murder mystery lovers.

I loved this murder mystery story. It was full of angst and multiple murders occurred. There were many people involved, each one with a different agenda and a backstory. I enjoyed discovering multiple layers of deceit and disguise, though I understand that it might have been a bit confusing for some readers. But it is what I expected from this kind of story.

My favorite part of the book was the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth: strong, faithful, passionate and very sweet. I enjoyed their interactions very much. The original characters were very well written and engaging.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Courtney’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't but I loved her performance. She made different characters easily recognizable by switching voices and accents.

Regina Jeffers is one of my all times authors. I listened to this book and got creepy feels when deciding the noise in the hall or the sound a door opening. Thank you so much Regina!!!

A little too long.

The plot was decent, but I felt the story went about five chapters too long. The mystery of the intruder was suprising, if not a little strange.

Couldn’t stand Anne and Georgianna’s voices

Very good story and the narrator is generally good in creating voices and accents. However Georgianna sounds like she has a perpetual cold and Anne lisps! While the accents are good, some of the choices for several characters were annoying...
