Excellent Book

This book helps you grow and check the progress of your growth. It shows you how to identify your strengths and weaknesses,create goals,and how to achieve them. The book explains why it is important to write this all in a journal.

Very helpful and informative

I really enjoyed listening to The Personal Growth Journal. It provided real techniques that I have already started to use to help me journal more consistently as well as develop mentally. I highly recommend this to anyone that is either new to journal or is interested in getting more out of their journaling. Very pleased!

I don't even recognize myself anymore

There is a distinct difference in my life from before I found this book and after. I used to be so scared, lost and worried. I felt like I was a slave to my mind. I now have the power to control my mind and emotions through the art of writing. Journaling means everything to me now. This book was my best friend during the whole journey. I can't thank Emily enough.

Wonderful message

I've always had the inclination to journal, but I never had the motivation to really sit down and do it, save for a few times. This audiobook has presented the benefits of journaling and quite frankly has convinced me to set aside time to do so. I have been going through a lot and feeling like I don't have an outlet, but journaling can be the exact outlet that I need. Thank you Emily for sending these messages home for me, and Jasmin for being a wonderful narrator to share this message.

A Powerful Self-help Journaling Book

This book contains a wealth of information and ideas on how to discover your inner self through journaling. Besides explaining the many benefits of journaling it provides several different techniques you can use to get started. From free-form writing to mind mapping and even problem trees you can examine and work through challenging areas that you may want to improve in your life; or simply journal to get to know what goals you want to set for yourself to live your life to its fullest. I really enjoyed the author's section on helping one determine what their true core values were and what happiness meant for them. And I thought it was extremely helpful to divide life's goals into separate areas and then create a pie diagram to help see more clearly which areas you want to work on more. Ms. Calabresi also points out that using a journal to solve problems is only one aspect; it could and should also be used to learn more about yourself and celebrate your own life successes! I found it refreshing and uplifting to use journaling to remind myself of the strengths that I have and to be positive and grateful for the many good things in my life. The many prompts and suggestions in the book make it easy for one to begin journaling and find which style or technique works well for them. The book is very well organized and gives an excellent summary at the end. I highly recommend not only reading this book but also making journaling an active part of your life! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and learned so much!

Great Resource to Start or Improve Journaling!

This audible book not only goes into the research-based benefits of journaling, it addresses many of the obstacles that tend to get in the way of creating and keeping the habit of journaling every day. I already had some idea of how beneficial journaling was, but this book made it even clearer. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to know themselves better, improve their mood and mental clarity, and live happier and more productive lives. The writing is clear and relatable, and the guidance and ideas in this book will help you make journaling a truly beneficial resource in your life.

Wish I had started journaling years ago

A wonderful guide for anyone wanting or thinking about journaling.
It covers all of the benefits very well. It gives great ideas on how to start, the easy ways to stay with it and an expectation that it will help mentally and physically. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not address if there are any possible negative results from journaling,
I.e. I am not reaching my goals or have not met my expectations?
I would highly recommend this book to young people, especially.
I was given a free copy to review this book.

Excellent Tips!

This book has excellent tips especially with regards to goal setting. I've struggled for a long time with setting and achieving goals, so I really find tips in this book to be really helpful.
