About this listen

A year ago, Tyrone "Ty" Pendleton connected with Kendra "Kiki" Simmons due to their friends' dilemma. They shared months of hot passion that neither will ever forget. An emotional difference of opinion created a rift the couple could not overcome.

Proud and stubborn, literary agent Kiki moved to New York to work with her father's publishing company and to put distance between her and the man who controls her heart. Successful entertainment agent Ty accepted Kiki's decision to walk away and moved on with his life - until danger surfaced, threatening her life and the lives of others connected to him.

Bound together by uncontrollable forces, Ty and Kiki search for their enemy while trying to resist the passion that burns within - without dying or breaking...the Pendleton Rule.

Great!

I loved this audible version of this book. The narrator was great too. loved all the background music. This was one of the best audio versions I've every had. Iris continues to knock it out of the park every time! Now I want all her books in audio. Again awesome job

Ok Narration. Loved the Intrigue, Drama, & Tech

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was ok, but I could think of a couple of other narrators that would have elevated this book for me.

Kiki was a bit irritating. All I heard her spouting off about was how she could take care of herself. I thought she could at the beginning. Then just as fast, she did something dumb. Yeah. Right sis, keep deluding yourself.

I felt like there was more to Ty Pendleton than I originally thought. That subsequently proved to be true. I read the books out of order. Not by choice, but by chance. Some of the twists and turns were surprising, and some were predictable.

I loved the strong, intelligent women that were part of the book. Naverone, Genesis, Karess, Raven, Monique, Isadore, and Miriam. This book also mentioned Absolute. Had I not read the different series out of order, I would not have known Absolute's identity.

I did enjoy the book. There was a good amount of action, suspense, intrigue, danger, and heat. I loved it when the gadgets and the tech came into play.

I think Ty had a much more generous nature than I would have had considering the circumstances. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt him. On to the next Brooks Family novel.

My first Iris Bolling novel not my last

This story started slow for me but I was quickly captured and caught up in the characters. A wonderful and exciting tale. I now need to go back and read the novels before it, but I really enjoyed the story. I encourage you to not sleep this author. I will say the sound effects were not enjoyed by me, but I did get used to them and fell in step with it. The narrator was very calm - at first I thought he was emotionless but I enjoyed it. More Iris on audible PLEASE

I would recommend

This was a good listen. The narrator made the book. The sound affects got me though. Wasn't use to it but I would recommend this book.

Amazing

The book was great but there was something special about listening to the narrator's voice as he read this suspenseful romance. It was like an audio movie as each scene played out. Loved it.
