My kids LOVED this book! Very entertaining
This book is very well written, had a good narration, and a good story. It was almost a coming of age tale, but the undercurrents were not dark, just real. It is written in first person from the perspective of an eleven year old girl. My 6 and 8 year olds loved it and had their first experience with “book being over blues.”
We loved that it was a story that explained all the difficult words and situations. We loved how expressive the characters and pictures were. It was relatable to me even as a mom and kept me interested as we listened together in the car.
I will read more of her books!
