Exciting and suspenseful

The story keeps us guessing and the twists and turns are a fun read. Except for a few glaring grammatical errors (an editor should have caught those) it’s a perfect psychological thriller with excellent narration.

A twisty tale.

James Caine is one of my favorite authors but his books aren't always on audio. I was so happy when I found this gem that I had missed. All his books are fantastic. This is earlier work but it's just as good and twisty. He knows how to tell a story without dragging it out. He makes his words count and I love that.

Not my favorite

This book was just all over the place. I’m a huge fan of James Caine’s book “the in-laws”, so much that I’ve reread it three times. But the patients list was so difficult to read. There was no character progression, no depth. The twist/end was predictable.
