Entertaining story that is well written

I loved this vampire story, as it was engaging and not ‘way out there’ like some vampire books can be. I felt the author developed the story and characters well, and didn’t just fall back on stereotypical ‘vampire love’ stories which are so overdone. The narration was great too, with believable voices and tones for the characters. If you like fantasy, vampires or just an entertaining book, give this one a listen.

pleasantly surprised!

I was not paid for this review. I went into this book expecting it to be ok. since game if thrones there have been a plethora of mediocre fantasy books BUT this one was actually well written and the narration was quite good. I look forward to the coming stories from the author as well as the narrator!

I love vampire books!

I’m a big fan of books of this genre and this book definitely didn’t disappoint! I thought the development of Angela Dragos was really good throughout the book and the challenges faced are super intense. You’ll be hooked as the plot starts to thicken!

Twilight without the diamonds

Great book all in all! If you want something more adult and less romance with vampires this one is for you! Excited for the next one! Only part I didn’t particularly liked was the echos when the star dragon (?) was talking, couldn’t quite understand it, but great listen to otherwise! I want the next one already! 👿

Awesome vampire lore; it is a story of courage and a quest for identity in a world that offers no easy answers.

Unique in a different way

I read a lot of fantasy and a lot of horror. The idea of vampires in a fantasy world and setting in general made me skeptical. This hits all the right notes if you are a fan of monsters and fantasy. In comparison to say The Witcher or even Necroscope, this takes the concept of vampires and monsters alike and makes them unique like you’re visiting Dracula for the first time, if Dracula lived in a completely different universe. I loved the characters and and you can vividly picture this world they love in. The voice acting is great too with maybe the exception of one character who was difficult to understand unless you actually read the book. This was a fun listen and I am looking forward to the next.

Unique Fantasy Book Worth the Read

I am an avid reader of fantasy books. Epic fantasy, sci-fi fantasy, adult, young adult, and even kids fantasy I read extensively. This was a very unique blend I hadn't read before. The author carefully crafts horror and mystery across a fantasy landscape. It is very well written and definitely worth a read if you want to stretch your expectations in the fantasy genre.

Very imaginative

I love it when new fiction takes old tropes and twists them into something new. The world is expansive and dark but fun to spend time in. The author is very talented, and the narrator is also excellent.
