When Sam tells her about the Night People, he’s sure she too will think he's crazy. But instead, Jade suggests the two of them do some sleuthing.

Sam and Jade’s investigations lead them out of their small-town high school and into a world of military secrets. Suddenly, they are being abducted. But by aliens—or the military?

Meanwhile, Sam’s parents are getting more abusive. He knows he needs help. And the feelings he’s starting to have for Jade are scarier than his parents, the military, or even the Night People.
