Some great, some “meh”

Some of these stories were genuinely riveting. Others I got bored with. But, all of them were refreshingly original and creative. I really enjoyed this compilation but it didn’t leave me thinking I should go find more Gaiman books.

Outstanding collection

A legendary author in his own rite. The Neil Gaiman Reader was satisfying from start to finish. Whether you've read(or listened) to any number of the passages here before it'll be an adventure you won't regret. Hearing the stories told in the manner they're meant to be expressed is a joy in and of itself. I will suggest this to anyone who will listen.

I love this collection, very good stories, it was my introduction to him and I already bought a new book… love it.

My favorite author done well!

I’ll admit I love Neil Gaiman - so witty, so imaginative, such a fine writer. It turns out he narrates beautifully as well. These stories are glorious what if’s. What if the old gods still lived but struggled with mundane things? What if your invented girlfriend existed?

Super enjoyable

I've seen some of the movies and shows based on Gaiman's written work so this reader sounded perfect for getting introduced to it, and it was!!
I listened from the intro straight through to the end every chance I could get and loved it all.
I downloaded one of his novels already and I am definitely getting another in print.
Gaiman's performance was awesome, though I giggled a couple times at his American accent, but it's not bad. 5++ stars!

Outstanding intro to Neil Gaiman

If you have never listened to anything written by Neil Gaiman, this is a great place to start. If you are familiar with his work, you will meet some old friends here and, perhaps, make a few new ones. I cannot imagine a better narrator than Mr. Gaiman himself.

Some of the short stories I knew and loved them. Some were new and I was thrilled. If you’re a NG fan this is a must in your collection.
