Fiction? Hmmm…

Great character development, and story, & plot resolution. Curiously, how many real life topics can you address in one novel? Also, this is why it’s such a mess in the US. Another winner from AB.

Well thought out and if truly researched and accurate, then a true eye opener to the world of homelessness.

I love the narrator but sometimes her distinctions between characters blurs and you must pay close attention to whom is speaking.

Twisty crime

Liked the complexity of the crime. Enjoyed seeing Quinn and Costa again. Only minor interaction between them. But that story was advanced also.

Good storyline

Great characters and plenty of action. There were two female characters who, when they spoke in the first person, the narrator didn’t or couldn’t distinguish - they both sounded the same.

Wow Wow Wow!! I have read or listened to most of this author's books including the whole Lucy Kincaid series. I always read the series in order to get the most out of how the characters grow. This installment of Quinn and Costa was superb!! There's lots of characters to follow and so many twists in the investigation it had my head spinning, but in a good way. I am blown away by how Allison could keep the plot going and making sense without revealing any of the "who done it" until the chapter she wanted to. Love this author. As mist readers know, it's a little sad when a book ends, especially in a series, because we want to know what happens next. I am so glad I only have to wait until January 7 for the next book! Going to use a credit and pre-order right now.

Relevance to issues ongoing with a perspective that I haven’t heard before.

There was quite a bit of repetitive self reflection from the female lead characters. Tedious.

As always, Allison did not disappoint. The story had twists and turns and held my attention from the start to finish, and I can’t believe the surprise in the story!!
