Great

What an action pack series, full intrigue, deceit, suspense, and action. Everything I look for series.

Virtual Voice Narration wasn't awful.

The story line is ok. The characters are good. and surprisingly the Virtual Voice Narration wasn't horrible. I almost didn't listen because of V Voice but unlike past experiences with text to speech this one sounded almost natural. That said there were a few inflection and word choices that were wrong but all in all it was ok. I am currently listening to another book by the same author with a human narrator and definitely enjoy it more.

Why V voice?

Fair story with too many modern colloquialisms.
Listened to end but really have do some mental gymnastics to reinterpret words.

Great story if you like the writing style.

I listen while I am doing other things, so having each character think about something, say it, have the narrative discuss what he just said, only to have this repeat for each character endlessly, is a writing style best for others.

Virtual voice.

I disliked the virtual voice. Clear voice and was able to understand the story well, but the flow of words was just off. Interesting and fun story though in general.

Hate the virtual voice!

The story was a decent story made mundane by the virtual voice. Keep real people reading please.

no excitement

i did not like the monotonous tone of the reader. the story seems like it would be great, but i couldn't get pass the readers tone of voice.

Fun story and characters.

Really good from the beginning, and carried to the finish. Not a fan of the A.I. voice, but it was tolerable. A.I. just can't follow the the proper ebb and flow of language, or which pronunciation of words to use in a case of double meanings, and it takes a lot away from the story. otherwise wonderful fun story

Good story but AI narration sucks

Interpretation of some words grossly mispronounced to the point where it was annoying when BOW was constantly misused between the bow of the ship and the archers bow

No connection with the plot or characters

This series did not hold my attention. I felt no connection to any of the characters. The plot line was thin and advancement of the plot is not engaging.
