About this listen

While somewhat outdated and steeped in the prejudice of the day, the Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin fable The Lost Conscience is nevertheless a worthy tale to ponder and a great study of a mind seeking to discard its inhibitions (and not in a good way).

Interesting

This is a short story that follows the path of a Conscience. What happens when one feels no regret or negative feelings for doing harm to others, and is suddenly given a conscience and now feels shame, regret and remorse among other emotions Its a short story but is interesting in a thought provoking way Only drawback was I listened to the audio and the narrator was not that great. The beginning was more of a monotone but he did improve a little as the story progressed.
