Interesting statistics

I found the data used to write the book very interesting. It interested me enough
that I did a bit of research on the Internet of my own. I learned more about Scotland, Loch Ness, the Sargasso Sea, Conger Eels and the Loch Ness Monster. On the other hand, I found the fictional story surrounding the data to be trite and uninteresting. I didn't care about any of the characters. The narrator did a decent job of the Scottish Brogue, but having never been to Scotland, I might be completely wrong. His accents did get annoying and that might have something to do with the weak dialogue and character development. I completed the book because I found the format interesting, but I'm not sure how it ended since I really stopped listening.

good book. after listening to his other book The Meg. I enjoy Steve Allen's writing its scientific and well-thought-out interesting enough to keep you on the edge of your seat with enough action

exciting but inconsistent.

Alten does a good job here. the characters and story are well developed. his alternating chapter starts from the 14th century of Loch Ness to the present century add to our knowledge. P.J. Ochlan's performance is fantastic. many scenes gave me a lump in my throat; others made me y a w n . . . i heard that already. i give this a B++. very much so worth a listener's investment.

It was SUCH a joy to read this science-minded monster book. It would make for a fantastic movie and I hope to see it some day!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Loch to be better than the print version?

Yes, P J Ochlan did a fantastic job of narration. He had terrific Scots accents, and had distinct voices for each character and it was nicely done, very entertaining.

What other book might you compare The Loch to and why?

Any of the many wonderful creature feature books that are available. I am a die hard creature feature fan, its one of my favorite genres.

What does P. J. Ochlan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did a really great narrator job. He brought highs-lows-drauma and emotion to life in this action adventure Loch Ness story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions, but I enjoyed the book as a whole. I am a fan of the "creature feature", I love any monster, dinosaur or giant creature, real or imagined books. I enjoy the action and suspense of man vs "big scary monster" and those style of books are some of my fiction favorites.

recommended for those who love "suspend your disbelief and just go with it" action/adventure stories.

Teriffic story with science and adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Audio version was wonderfully done.

Incredible performance

I’m still sitting here inthralled due to the performance given by P. J. Ockham. Then to have such a fabulous script and you have a block buster!

Very informative story

The author kept me listening and wanting more when it was finished. I have learned a lot of the history of Loch Ness in this story. Very well done!
