About this listen

What’s the worst that can happen when you get tipsy and decide to sleep with your best friend’s brother? Well, I’m about to find out.

Zeke Beckett has always been an enigma. Hot as sin and just as reserved, I’ve made it my mission to break him out of his shell. Or, at least, loosen his back door’s grip on the giant stick he’s got shoved up there. My attempts have always failed...until they didn’t.

When a night of drinking ends with Zeke finding my hidden, secret tattoo, I realize there’s much more to him than meets the eye. But he wants to pretend it never happened and makes me promise not to tell his twin sister, who happens to be my best friend. One of the two people on this planet to whom I can never lie.

I manage to pull it off for a while, but then the unthinkable happens. Two little pink lines change everything, and I have no freaking clue what I’m going to do now.

Great narration, the story not so much

Eva and Zeke collide in an unexpected way. Following a passionate, yet fleeting encounter, Eva finds herself facing the reality of an unplanned pregnancy. Complicating matters further, Zeke happens to be the brother of Eva's closest friend, setting the stage for an uncomfortable conversation.

This was a fast-paced book. Our main female character was pretty independent, in contrast, our leading man was so stubborn that he grated on my nerves. Like a never-ending loop, he repetitively assures everyone, including himself, that he will never fall for anyone. It honestly gave me a migraine, and I found Zeke irritating.

While this story didn't appeal to me, it might be for you if you enjoy the surprise pregnancy trope.

As for the narration, I will never complain about Troy Duran. The female narrator also did great.

Sex babies…

This was the formula. Sex, babies but we can’t be in a relationship. These people supposed to be adults and to be parents. These people need to grow up or stop lying to themselves. This was short story and I was exhausted of hearing the H kept saying he just sex and nothing else. Oh the h she was no better. I love surprise pregnancy but this one was sad and sex was so grossed. Hate main characters. Not worth money or credit.
