About this listen
A brilliant, hilarious homage to The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, showing how to shed your mental clutter for good. Aimed at overachieving but dissatisfied people everywhere. Sarah's inspirational two-step 'NotSorry' program shows how unleashing the power of not giving a f**k will help you shed unwanted guilt and obligations to redirect time, energy and enthusiasm to your true priorities.
Sarah reveals why giving a f**k about what other people think is your worst enemy - and how to stop doing it; how to sort your f**ks into four essential categories; simple criteria for whether or not you should give a f**k (i.e., 'Does this affect anyone other than me?'); and the two keys to successfully not giving a f**k without also being an asshole.
So, get rid of the mental clutter, ditch the perfectionism and create the life you want - for good.

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Story
Alice's journey begins as all good journeys do: hitting on the sales guy at REI. After a tumultuous breakup, a quick career transition, family upheaval, and a sobriety journey that didn't fix her life quite as much as she expected it to, Alice decides that the only way to solve all her problems is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. But as she begins preparing for the months-long quest, she realizes the answers she's seeking might not be on top of a snow-covered mountain. Especially since she just learned there was snow in California.

Great for those who need it!!
This book was a great analyzation of how I live my life. There wasn't much I learned from this book as I live this way naturally. But it is a great eye opener for the regular person. And for assholes to learn, not to give a fuck while not being an asshole.

some good points
It had some good points but I think better suited for people who get walked all over and cannot prioritize simple options in life (like going or not going to the pub with coworkers). I was looking for deeper, soul changing thoughts to separate work from after work hours to improve my personal/family life. Really the only thing the book told me was to not give a f#*k and not be sorry. As mentioned it shed some enlightenment on simple things to not give a f&*k about but most of it I already don n't give a f^*k about because I have bigger issues consuming my time, money and energy on.

This is worth a f*ck
I used up my f*ck bucks for my listening time in the shower for this book and they were bucks well spent. her narration is fun and easy to listen to, and the content is applicable and easy to follow.

what a delusion
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Teenagers maybe.
Would you ever listen to anything by Sarah Knight again?
I don't think so. Although I'm not a virgin nun for me the F... in every sentence was way too much and after a few minutes it was super annoying. Also I've expected something new and helpful but I've only heard what I had known well before.
Which scene was your favorite?
When she says that we need to learn to say NO.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Performance was great though.

Not sorry
Sarah Knight seems cool, and i dont hate the book. but yes it could be shorter, yes it's a bit lucky white ladyish but it's good for people who are specifically looking for a bit more encouragement in letting go of guilt and being 'not sorry' as Sarah describes which is why i'm giving this 1 star, not sorry. Mostly because i'm one of those ppl that read bad reviews first, and i agree with the low reviews on this book but i still appreciated it. good thought food, not too deep though. much more preferred quiet by susan cain. i decided i was disappointed when trying to do the pdf. the exercise was hard because i just found myself contradicting myself and making things worse. for instance i was born with a great bod and i dont really give an f about eating healthy or exercising even though it looks like i do... but i want to be healthy on the inside .... so.... wha? i guess if i'm not going to do anything about it i should free myself from giving an f about it too?
the case studies are pretty underwhelming.
4 years ago perhaps this would have blown my mind. but as i said susan cain gave me way more power to be myself and liberate myself from expectations (after a unique journey of other books ofcourse like ie the secret, alchemist, deliberate receiving, etc)
But i also imagine all this resistance is self created. what if we really just don't have to give a fuck.
so all in all, if you have f all to do at work cos the boss you pa for is on holiday and you have a free credit from your amazon audible trial... have listen.
maybe i'm just a little impatient today
but i didn't appreciate the weak case studies and parenting talk, and convincing me to not give a f about what ppl think by giving me survey results of what ppl think...
can't finish it. not eye opening enough for me at the moment
