Loved this Italian story of the people and the area

Loved this book, the narrator’s, Italian people, history and area and generational stories. I’ll definitely listen to more by this author.

Totally enjoyed this book. Swept me away to a time I went to Italy with my family. loved the story of the family of they Lemon Tree Hotel and surrounding area. Would read more by this author, I thought the narrator was good would recommend. Thanks

Fabulous

The author creates not only a vivid image of the Italian country side and the food grown and eaten there but most importantly she reminds us of how important it is to listen to your heart when making life decisions. Her descriptions filled my mind of frescos, alcoves and the blue sea. All while weaving in a bit of history and creating a place for the listeners mind to wander. This was a great listen!

Great for road trips

Intricate descriptions, believable characters and plot twists kept looking forward to the next chapter...and the next...

I liked that the setting actually exists and mudslides were real. Glad to see the town has been rebuilt

Drawn out but easy listen

This story has no depth and is way too long, but is ok if you’re looking for an easy listen. Narrator does a good job.

Soap opera

The Italian setting is so beautiful I thought I could endure the typical dragged out romance and emotional drama of soap opera-type books. I had hope that with the beautiful setting and the hotel being a former convent for nuns - that the writer would bring a balance of interesting plot points and details to the book. There WERE a few interesting plot points but the preponderance of the book is emotional issues and dialogue. I guess that's what some people want - not me.
