About this listen

In Brad Thor's highest-voltage thriller to date, Scot Harvath must race to locate an ancient secret that has the power to stop militant Islam dead in its tracks.

June, A.D. 632: Deep within the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca, the Prophet Mohammed shares with his closest companions a final and startling revelation. Within days, he is assassinated.

September 1789: U.S. minister to France Thomas Jefferson, charged with forging a truce with the violent Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast, makes a shocking discovery - one that could forever impact the world's relationship with Islam.

Present day: When a car bomb explodes outside a Parisian café, Navy Seal turned covert Homeland Security Operative Scot Harvath is thrust back into the life he has tried so desperately to leave behind.

Saving the intended victim of the attack, Harvath becomes party to an amazing and perilous race to uncover a secret so powerful that militant Islam could be defeated once and for all without firing another shot, dropping another bomb, or launching another covert action. But there are powerful men who are determined that Mohammed's mysterious final revelation continue to remain hidden forever.

Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "quite possibly the next coming of Robert Ludlum", Brad Thor takes listeners across the globe on a heart-pounding chase in which the stakes are higher than they have ever been.

amazing change of pace

This was a great change of pace and interesting education on on the non fiction parts of Islam. it's insane how some content in the book has been out for a decade and parallels the current time 2020 more then I believe it did then. if only the world had a real Scot Harvath.

I like how Thor puts real snippets of history in that you can research and learn more about as time goes on. The barbary Wars were fascinating and I now want to visit Montecello.

Another good read from Brad Thor

A good thriller, solid writing and an entertaining book. Brad Thor obviously does his homework especially with regards to technical details and weapons. It’s refreshing to see a book with so many law enforcement, military and special ops details getting it right far more often than not.

Another winner

I've listened to about five Brad Thor books so far and am not only entertained but I also learn something every time. Another great thing about the series is you don't need to listen in order. I've read or listened completely out of order and it doesn't matter. I'm looking forward to listening to the whole series eventually.

Great Change of Pace

I loved how Thor used historical material and created a new dimension for Scott in this novel. It real added more depth to Scott and it was nice to see him resolve his issues with Rutledge. I wish this series would be made into a television series. I think it could be up there like 24.

Thor and Guidall - Five Star Combo

Guidall gives masculine characters masculine voices, great accents, and emotion. Thor writes an entertaining, fast paced novel. Add them together, a perfect combo.
