Excellent
My daughters (ages 9 and 11) and I all loved this audiobook. Engaging and suspenseful. Perfect for long car rides or downtime at home. We can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.

Not typically a Fantasy lover but it was great!.
I'm not typically a fantasy lover but I really enjoyed this book. So much so, that I just put the second in the series in my cart. The story was great and the creatures? Well, it's amazing how one can get so attached to a character even if it IS a strange little creature, or a big giant one. Almost as if they were human. Story was well written. Makes me wonder what in the heck goes on in an authors head to dream up such stories and creatures and make me believe they could be walking around in MY world. The narrator is fantastic as well. Highly recommend this one to all my "I'm not crazy about fantasy" friends. You'll want more.

A Plethora of Action
What an amazing journey... full of suspense and action. I listened to this on audible. When I read the book, "The One And Only Ivan," I thought about how Applegate captures the world Ivan lived in, and how touching the story was. After hearing that another book came out by Katherine Applegate, I knew I'd love "The Last: The Endling" I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
