Acerca de esta escucha
In the present age both Church and Science, the blindly-believing and the all-denying, are arrayed against the Secret Sciences, though both Church and Science believed in and practised them - especially the Kabalah - at a not very distant period of history. One says now: “It is of the devil”! the other that the devil is a creation of the Church, and a disgraceful superstition ”in short that there is neither devil nor occult sciences. The first one forgets that it has publicly proclaimed, hardly 400 years ago, the Jewish Kabalah as the greatest witness to the truths of Christianity! The second, that the most illustrious men of science were all alchemists, astrologers and magicians - witness Paracelsus, Van Helmont, Roger Bacon, etc. But consistency has never been a virtue of Modern Science. It has religiously believed in all which it now denies, and it has denied all that it now believes in, from the circulation of the blood up to steam and electric power.

Madame Helena Blavatsky, in two introductory essays, offers students of Theosophical beliefs a wide-reaching and worldly outlook on the Ancient Mysteries. While demonstrating that much like Rosicrucian and Masonic philosophy, Theosophy has, at the heart of its doctrine, the concept of a Universal Brotherhood, she by no means forgets to include numerous Eastern influences, which help set apart the distinctive path of Theosophy, from other arenas of esoteric study...

Notable author and founder of the modern Theosophical movement Helena Blavatsky highlights Plato, his teachings, and his legacy in this essay. It is the Platonic philosophy, the most elaborate compend of the abstruse systems of old India that can alone afford us this middle ground. Although 22 and a quarter centuries have elapsed since the death of Plato, the great minds of the world are still occupied with his writings. He was, in the fullest sense of the word, the world's interpreter.

Historia
Madame Blavatsky was the face of the Theosophical movement, and probably its most prolific writer. In this particular piece, published in 1889, she writes somewhat philosophically about the dawning of a new age of writers and religious thinkers. She feels that she is witnessing an equalization of sorts, within society, which she refers to as the Awakening Spirit of Humanity. She urges the listener to participate, rather than just sit idly by and observe.

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky is best known as the cofounder of theosophy, which is essentially a selective conflation of Hindu and Buddhist ideas combined with Blavatsky's idiosyncratic system of cosmology. The Voice of the Silence, first published in 1889, is described by the author as "chosen fragments from the Book of the Golden Precepts, for the daily use of disciples".

In late 1913, Carl Jung set out on an exploration of his psyche, a quest he called his "confrontation with the unconscious". In doing so, he would enter an imaginative state of consciousness and experience visions, a process that continued with varying intensity for the next 10 years. Along the way, he began drafting the manuscript of his legendary Red Book. The Seven Sermons to the Dead, or "Septem Sermones ad Mortuos", is the only portion of the Red Book manuscript that Jung shared during his lifetime.

Historia
Melchizedek and the Mystery of Fire is a short work by mystic and occultist Manly P. Hall. It explores the symbolism of ancient rituals in Christianity, and their sources in earlier religions and cultural traditions. Incorporating ritual and legend from great ancient civilizations as varied as India, China, Mexico, and Japan, Hall demonstrates that the truth of humanity is rooted in similar stories across these cultures, and has continued into Biblical allegory. It also explains the human body's "occult anatomy", giving meaning and symbolism to our very organs and glands.
