Good story, insubstantial telling

I wish I'd looked up more serious Hendrix biographies like Room of Mirrors (or whatever). The author of this seemed oddly ... like he didn't really care very deeply about his subject, and scandalized, or embarrassed, by things about him, in a way that led me to wonder what might have been missing or distorted.

Good listen

I'm familiar with Jimi Hendrix but I didn't know too much about his life as he was already gone by the time I was born. I enjoyed listening about his life. My dad and I discussed Jimi Hendrix as he had recently watched a documentary. I had heard the story surrounding his untimely demise but to get a deeper dive into what happened was eye opening. The story surrounding the alleged kidnapping was very interesting.

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook and learned a lot about Jimi, a talent gone way too soon.

Very interesting

I’ve read a lot of Jimi bios and this is one of the best ones , I’d highly recommend it to Hendrix fans and to others as a cautionary tale on wills and legacies

Greatest Experience

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this bio of the greatest guitar player ever. As a teen some years ago, I was blown away by his talent and I still am.
If you love Jimi this Bio is worth a listen.

Good But Not Great

Very informative about the fast times of Jimi. This book went into the business side of his life. Very interesting.

Okay bio but HORRIBLE audiobook

If you’re going to narrate something that involves a LOT of British people, maybe brush up your stupid fake accent just a little before making paying customers sit through hours and hours of it. Wow, painful!! Not recommended. Embarrassingly rough going.
