About this listen
A BROKEN MAN DOWN ON HIS LUCK…
Michael Fox is a homeless man living in a garbage dumpster beneath the Carver Street Bridge in Buffalo, NY. He’s bitterly depressed and ready to commit suicide; anything to put an end to his miserable existence.
AN OFFER TOO GOOD TO REFUSE…
When a mysterious billionaire surgeon offers Michael two million dollars for his right arm, he thinks his luck might be about to change. Little does he know that the surgeon has other plans for him. His arm is only the beginning. Bit by bit other pieces of Michael's body are surgically removed; his natural body stripped away and then reassembled using other harvested parts from thirteen different ‘donors’.
A MODERN DAY FRANKENSTEIN…
Now Fox isn’t sure if he’s a man or a monster, or whether or not he’d be better off dead. One thing he is sure of though, he’s not checking out of this world until he finds a way to make the people responsible pay for turning him into the experimental nightmare known as… The Jigsaw Man.

This book 100% classifies as horror
Sometimes horror doesn’t need to be filled with jump scares or have supernatural aspects to it. This is a tale of despair. It’s a medical thriller/horror. People die pretty horrifically or are stripped down to literally nothing. If someone was going to surgically take you apart, bit by bit, and there was literally nothing you could do about it, that sounds pretty friekin horrific to me. But you should decide for yourself.

Unique
This book was a book unlike any other I have enjoyed. First I want to say the voice acting was incredible. The variation between the characters was wonderfully done and really helped keep me engaged even when the story was not exactly in my wheelhouse. The content for this book definitely is outside of my normal repertoire, I love a good horror novel but this fell under the branch of horror I usually don't get too into (similar to human centipede) which is body horror. That being said it was a fun romp into a genre I don't explore often, definitely worth a listen!

This book is mislabeled as horror
Those who are voracious audible listeners such as myself know the value of each credit…I only listen/read horror 99% of the time and was super disappointed when it was clear about 30% of the way though that this book was NOT horror. The storyline was alright, narration great, but content was pretty underwhelming and slightly ridiculous. Pass on this one if you’re looking for a good horror read..buy it if you like low heartbeat suspense.
