We have this both as a book and an audiobook and I highly recomend both. The audio version is beatifully read and absolutely striking. It is read so well that you don't even miss the illustrations (which in the paper version are utterly delighttful too).

What did you love best about The Jesus Storybook Bible?

My son has listened to this NUMEROUS times. In fact, he has memorized several of the stories word-for-word. I am so grateful for this book. It is a definite must-buy for anyone that wants their children to learn good theology at a young age.

I am a grandmother and am so Thankful God's word has been out in such a wonderful adventure form that will engage my small grandchildren to get the truth down in there hearts in a way that can identify with. May God bless each and every child that hears this redemptive story.

Great overview of the Bible

Loved it! David Suchet’s narration was superb. He draws you in and makes it come alive. Sally Lloyd-Jones did such a beautiful overview in story form, enhancing what was probably felt and experienced at the time. It brings the Bible to life in a way understandable for children as well as adults. The way she explained the connections, how it all points to Jesus was excellent. I highly recommend it to young and old alike!

A must for ages 0-99

Even as an adult, I found such a new and beautiful perspective of WHO Jesus is in HIStory, as well as in MY story. I wish I had known about this when my children were younger, but even as adults, I've gifted them all a copy and hope it blesses them like it has me.

For me the best approach to reading the Bible

Although I was born into a traditional Catholic family. I don't consider myself part of any religion.
I heard about the stories in the Bible when I was a child, but I never took them seriously because they were taught to me as true sacred stories, and I was trying to understand them as such.

Since I was a teenager, I ran away from anything that sounded like dogma and therefore never devoted time to religious things, although I was very interested in spirituality and conscience.
Now, considering the impact of Jesus on the world, I decided to learn more about him. I looked for books and came up with this "children's" Bible.
This turned out to be the right approach for me to read the Bible, as a sequence of stories told as tales that ultimately connect to the fact of Jesus. It was like a love story. and I felt like a child super interested in the stories.

The Best Children's Bible Bar None!

This children's bible and this audio book recording are both simple and profound at the same time. The stories are told such a way that highlights Jesus throughout the whole Bible from the begging to the end. We used this in some of our seminary courses, because of how simply and beautifully it told the truths of the gospel. The narrator did an excellent job of doing different character voices and taking us on a journey as he read. My kids love to listen to this and have listened to it so much they have whole chapters stored in their hearts! Your kids will love it, too!

Very approachable

Such an enjoyable book to listen to. It makes all of the overarching themes of the Bible easy to understand.
