An adolescent favorite of mine.

I loved this book 17 years ago and still like it now. A great fantasy story and trilogy!

Fantabulous!!!

I loved this series of books growing up and to hear this audio recording was just so splendid it was so well told and I absolutely love the portrayal of the characters through her voice and her storytelling. her doing the goblin King was my absolute favorite! me, my children and other family members are desperate for the next two books to be recorded please get on that toot sweet!

I read this so long ago!

This trilogy will always have a special place in my heart! I wish this app had the other 2 on here so I could continue hearing it! The performance could have been better but it didn't take away from the writing!

Long loved story

I love revisiting this story, and listening to it before bed is a favorite past. time, with its vivid descriptions and details. I wish the rest of the series were recorded audibooks as well, as I don't always have time to re-read those, but I love this book anyway.

Wow!

I absolutely loved this book! The elements were balanced so beautifully between mystery and foreshadowing that I felt myself placed within its very pages! The narrator was brilliant with her inflections!
Thank you for having this book! I hope the next ones come too!

Ugh, the narration

I read this back in my adolescence, enjoyed the hell out of it, only later found out it was a series and devoured them all. It's a much better take on a monster romance than... others of similar ilk (I'm looking at you, Sparkles).

But, to my horror upon downloading this, the narrator was an old proper British lady who would have been way happier to tell you all the local gossip over tea. Her male character voices are laughably bad at best and cringingly intolerable at worst. Just go read the book.

(Side note: I recommend a physical copy. Whoever the publisher was did a great job, because it has that perfect book smell! Good weight to each page... I'm nerding out over physical properties of a single book. Just go read it, you'll enjoy it.)

Exciting fantasy story!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Wonderful story and great narration. I could not stop listening!

Timeless!

I read this almost 15 years ago in highschool and loved it then and still love it now. I reread/relisten yearly. I wish the other two books in the series would become audiobooks their great too (especially book three!) content: clean, no spice, no swearing

Wonderful Story

I love Kate’s adventure through this quirky fantasy. The humor and wit of the prose is delightful. While I am a huge fan of Jenny Sterling (I can highly recommend her reading of Howl’s Moving Castle). I do not think she was the best performer for this book. This is a youthful story and I fell her performance lost the energy of the tale.
