love over prejudice

I had no idea Supercross could be so hot!! I felt empathy for Ty and Davey and their need to hide their authentic selves. When outed, and all the biases thrown at them made me heart sick. Then I became furious that the perpetrators kept getting away with it. I was glad to see a big company step up on Davey's side and support him along with his true friends. I liked that their commitment to each other helped them weather this storm and find their happy place with each other. This is a great start to a series I'm interested in following. Many issues in the book reflect present day issues and I find that impactful. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job.

Sports and the real world

In sports no one want to find out their team mate is gay, so it's kept secret. lock in a closet.

For Tyler and Davey, they were thrown together when drunk (birthday boy)Tyler was placed in Davey's bed in his traler. They awoke to find each other and from then it was hard for them to stay away from each other, they let to them being outed by someone taking a photo of them in a compromising position in an alley behind a bar.
Thing escalated from being drop from sponsors to getting fired to treats, assault and vandalism.

As things unfold with new sponsorships and partnerships thing turned around for the better.
Davey and Tyler found that together they can make it.

This was a good sports story. I love the characters and hope to read more about them.
The narrator did and excellent job bringing the characters to life.

Great listen!

Now I have read this story a while ago and it so great to listen to it now. I love Ty and Davey's story! Lynn Michaels pulls me tight into their story. Ryk Bowers does a great job with the narration. He is a new to me and he does bring this story to life. I really like listening to this story and falling for this story again.

Ryk Bowers provides a no-frills performance! 👍

A practical joke against Supercross dirtbike mechanic Tyler results in him being thrown into the bed of his driver crush Davey McAllister who belongs to another Supercross team. The men are quick to take advantage of their mutual attraction to each other and enjoy quite a morning having sex. With Davey having a childhood filled with nothing but riding, Tyler is a special gift he just can't let go and he pursues a relationship with the mechanic in spite of two very distinctive challenges. First, both the driver and the mechanic work for different, competitive teams. The second is that the Supercross is a homophobic industry. In Tyler, Davey finds an opportunity at a life that isn't all about competitive dirtbike riding. In spite of the care the men take in keeping their relationship a secret, they are outed by an explicit picture that makes its way through social media.
Davey is dropped from his team and Tyler is fire from his. However, the sad turn of events including verbal harassment, vandalism, and physical attacks fail to keep the men from planning to marry. They manage to get sponsorship from Apex, an LGBT organization, and continue with their professional and personal goals. In addition to giving readers a credible glimpse into the Supercross world, the writer takes care to craft a believable story concerning the lives of Davey and Tyler whose hopes, dreams, and future are placed squarely in the sport. The relationship between the men (both are in their twenties) is realistic, as sex features prominently in the storyline! The characters make mistakes, misunderstand, second-guess--everything one would expect given their age and circumstances making both absolutely loveable.

Uggggg Baby/Davey

OMG I just can't with this book. One guy is named Davey and the other gave his lover the nickname "baby" and never let up. So the whole time it's Davey/baby and the names are so close it made my brain hurt.
Besides that, it's just poorly written.
