Very Good Overview of Hermetica

I enjoyed this overview and commentary on the actual text which follows the commentary. Now that I have a overview of the subject matter, I can study more detailed text and fill in the details and get a deeper understanding of the subject matter. I read along with the actual book while listening to the audible version.

To me this is pretty clearly where Christianity got it's perspective on life. The Hermetica even has the same feel. written and edited by many over the millennia. you use this as a basis and rewrite some ancient sumerian tales...B..I...B...L...E!

Really good introduction

It is hard to know where to start with this topic. I wish I had read this first. It isn’t what you’re looking for if you want a hardcore academic work. But it is easy, simple, and enjoyable. Then it will be easier if you move deeper. Good historical notes and introductions.

Great summation

I liked the summations and extra info given by the authors. Definitely a title I will be listening to many times.
