Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

The virtual narrator was distracting such that it was a very difficult story to listen to. The lack of human voice inflection, breathing and pause was very evident. I would not recommend this book because of the awful narration.

Narration ruined this book.
The story is difficult to follow. The ai narration is dull and you can’t distinguish between characters. The story also seems like it is from a series as it talks about other characters as if you were supposed to already know them. Couldn’t finish the book. Feels like a book for teens except for the unnecessary cursing. The foul language really was out of place and didn’t seem to match with the characters. Also who goes and buy alcohol to discuss a case with a client? Things just don’t agree or work well for the audience and the author. Thank goodness it was a free book. I would be upset to lose a credit for these reasons and audible doesn’t comply with their refund policy. So I rarely purchase books now. I mostly listen to the “included books in my subscription.”

Left wanting...
I was all in on this book, invested, intrigued, curious. And then it ended. And I was left wanting… the end felt rushed and abrupt. It would have for sure been a 4 or even 4.5 for me if the end had been more developed.
