Publisher's summary

Few families in history are as renowned as the Habsburgs, one of the principal sovereign dynasties of Europe from the 13th to the 20th century. This enthralling audio provides glimpses into the lives of their esteemed members. The lessons that their lives teach will help guide your family in faith and will help you live in peaceful prosperity and grow in holiness. Their maxims could also provide a road map for healing the world we live in.

You will hear about the Imperial House of Habsburg’s saints and heroes, sinners, assassinations, and affairs, and the impact that freemasonry, Jansenism, and the Enlightenment had on them and on all of Europe. With warmth and candor, Eduard Habsburg, a member of the family and archduke of Austria, shares insights about the Seven Principles (maxims) at the root of Habsburg thought, action, politics, and family life, along with:

  • The main ingredient for a stable marriage and how to create a deep bond between spouses
  • The secret and value to a happy and productive family life
  • How the Habsburgs’ Empire was different from “Star Wars”
  • Five dates to remember in Habsburg history and their significance
  • How to die like a royal (and it’s not what you may think!)

This astounding Habsburg history tells of the devout reign of Maria Theresia Habsburg-Lothringen, mother of 16 children, who saved the family lands and organized pilgrimages and countrywide vigils in honor of Our Lady and the Blessed Sacrament. Surely, our world today be a better place if all of us—our societies and politicians—would study these seven rules for turbulent times and follow The Habsburg Way.

Heartfelt and Honest

Here you get a beautiful and intimate look into the history of one of the most powerful families to ever live. Eduard has a very pleasant voice and I'm glad he read it, because his love and pride come through clearly. I appreciate so much that he wrote this in and for a time when people generally have discarded principles of Faith, and Family, and Service. It was very refreshing and I enjoyed it tremendously. I will be recommending it to friends and family. ♥️

Could be a great guest lecturer for schools

I would have really liked to have had a lecture on the Habsburg empire by this Habsburg descendant at any point in my education. The author comes across as very authentic and personable, and presents his values clearly and persuasively without sounding preachy.
The audio could use some editing, particularly filtering out voices in the background and fixing a few dropped lines. Overall the listening experience is both informative and entertaining.

Traditional Values

The Habsburg's never lost their ways and quite a few have served or serve as diplomats. It's incredible how they are realvant to this very day.

Timeless Values To Live By or The Way Of Emperors.

A great primer on the Habsburg family and the timeless Christian values that they lived by. The only issue with this recording is some errors in point 6. There are 3 (or 4) sudden jumps and it seems to drop out some information. Otherwise this is a five out of five. May God bless them, truly from this Protestant American and committed republican (small r). :)
