About this listen

Can one soldier, one Genogerian, one old gatekeeper, and a renegade witch save the world? Find out in this all new Michael Talbot adventure series!

The Source, the natural wellspring of Magic in the world, is stretched to the breaking point. If gluttonous witchcraft and human usurpers are not curtailed, it will vanish from the Nine Realms, taking with it every legendary race, and the magical sway of all that is good in the world will disappear forever. Before that end, the gods themselves will wage a final destructive war on Creation.

The quest to save Magic at all costs is at hand, and an ancient prophesy awakens. An unlikely and unwilling hero emerges: Michael Talbot, a broken soldier with nothing to live for except the dream of an afterlife where he’s finally reunited with his wife and daughter.

Allies from throughout the Talbot universe rally to his side, and new friendships are formed, though agendas may not align. Talbot finds himself thrust onto a path he would never have chosen, and as the magical world rises to its own defense, the world becomes rife with cruel foes, monsters, and deadly forces no human can guard against.

Love it when the gang all gets together!

I’m liking the way familiar characters and woven into a new story. Although I have to admit, I thought the ending of this was a bit abrupt, but that just means there’s more to come.

Classic Talbot Adventure

I’m loving the new Talbot universe. Great story and characters. I enjoyed it as much as Indian Hill and Zombie fallout .

Another Great Timeline!

From the first paragraph to the last was non stop Talbot at his best. Can hardly wait to get to book 20, (hurry up Tufo)! Sean Runette was brilliant even did a decent Irish brogh, loved every minute of it. Unfortunately finished it in two days and now wanting for more.

Different but very good

This is not what I am used to from Mark but I guess that is what makes Mark's work so good. Mark drags poor Mike through it all, zombies, aliens, spirit world, shrouded worlds, and now I guess dragons. Maybe one day we will get a boring story of Mike sitting on a beach during a family vacation, relaxing and sipping on a beer.

Old friends and new genre

So funny that my husband made fun of my startled laugh.

Mike goes on a journey as he always does but this time the beings he’s surrounded by are mystical and mostly magical. Interesting storyline that feels fresh but with the comfort of old friends.

At one point it has the feels of The Iron Druid by Kevin Hearne but with Tufos unique story telling, horror elements and humor

New Genra Same Old Mike

I've been a fan of Mark Tufo's for years, among the myriad of reasons this stands above all else. Mike and his companions are always here, in one form or another, always evolving, always growing, but aways present. This step into fantasy, a genra i am particularly fond of, is well executed. Another slam dunk, great work Mark.
