About this listen

Why would a nine-year-old girl walk out of her parents' cabin in the middle of the night? Why would she abandon the warmth of her bed for the unforgiving cold of a Montana winter? And why was she never seen again?

Twenty years later, her uncle is gruesomely murdered just as the remains of children are discovered hidden inside a cave a few miles from where she disappeared.

Could the timing be a coincidence? Criminal profiler Ethan Archer doubts it, but can he trust his own judgment? Didn’t he lose his touch along with everything else that fateful night when his life was shattered to pieces? Archer hasn’t worked a murder case since and has no desire to start again. But when the body count rises and he finds himself in the killer’s crosshairs, he no longer has a choice.

In a case where nothing is as it seems, can Archer confront the demons of his past and prevent further bloodshed, or will the killer prove too cunning for him?

A riveting mystery full of twists and deceptions that will keep you reading through the night. Listen to The Girl Who Went Nowhere today and find out why Marc Daniel’s listeners keep coming back for more.

This Girl Went Everywhere

The book is complex and dark. Although I love mysteries and thrillers the “drawing room reveal” of whodunnit is dated. There is a lot of death, sexual predators/pedophiles and bad people in power and it just got to be too much at times. If you like cringing while reading this is a great book for you.
There’s not much more I can say without revealing spoilers.

In spite of “The Big Reveal” in the Epilogue, which feels very much like an Agatha Christie nod, I was disappointed in the ending. Again spoilers.

The Narration was good and added to story. Although I really think there are readers who who would enjoy this book I personally am not one them. It was just “too much” for me.

Great mystery

I've read and enjoyed the Michael Biörn series by Marc Daniel, so I thought I'd check this book out, too. I love books with twists I don't see coming, and this book definitely has lots of those. Almost every time I thought I had something figured out, it turned out I was still surprised! The suspense was great, every time I had to stop listening I was disappointed. I only have one criticism, that when things finally got explained it seemed somewhat contrived and far-fetched. But I really enjoyed the book overall, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for new releases by Marc.

Grabs You From The Beginning!

Wow the intro into this sets the tone for the whole book. The narrator's ability to capture an eerily haunting cadence sends goosebumps and chills down your spine. I was spellbound and scared stiff all at once! The Girl Who Went Nowhere is a wicked thriller that sets itself apart from the rest! I was gifted this ARC Audiobook but these thoughts expressed are my own. I highly recommend this book and it's Author Marc Daniel and the narrator Robert Brinkman as well.

so random

Great narrator. Aside from the performance this book is a pass. it had too many elements and things seemed so unnecessary. Vigilante unhero (lets attackers go after women before helping or stepping in. then also takes advantage of one he helped. hes not a likeable hero. no honor.) lots of sexual assault. oil drilling. native American tribe. mansion whodunit like clue. sex trafficking. pedo. Gorilla rape. yeah. wtf.
The way it was written is creepy and off putting and not in a good thriller kind of way. the ending just had me rolling eyes. I will never read works from this author again.
