As always, the story turns and twists and just when you think you know where it's going, you don't. excellent writing.

Gripping story

I enjoyed the way Alessandra writes. Never boring. Great detail. Good character building. I felt I knew them. Couldn’t stop listening I will definitely recommend this book to my friends Bring tissues

It was a OKAY read

I cant say I disliked the book... My motivation to keep reading was fjnding out what she lied about.... I did enjoy the flow of the story but it kind of fell flat towards the end "for me" .... But overall OK book... not bad... but not great

Such a sad story,but one I could not stop from listening! A little drawn out in places, but definitely worth the read! I will miss Helena and Mark!

Wow! incredible story

This was an incredible story that was written to perfection. It ended so well. Might be my favorite book of 2022

This story kept me engrossed the whole way through. The production was terrible, but the story was good enough that I could ignore the oddly edited dropped in words/sentences etc. The narrator herself did a great job.

Heart-wrenching, heartwarming

This is one of the most heart-wrenching, and heart warming books I've read in a long time. The characters grow and change through the story, battling regrets, loss, fear, loneliness. There's suspense in the big bad secret Helena holds regarding her dead husband and missing child, the grief she battles through and how it's manifested in her life. This cold, seemingly heartless but successful author with her quirks and demanding lists, is imperfect in a way that makes you waffle between feeling for her and also kind of disliking her while also having a definite affection for her. It's a feat most authors, in my opinion, struggle to achieve. Their characters either too perfect, or too evil, and not many right in the middle.

SIMPLY PHENOMENAL!

This book was different from any book I've had the pleasure of reading as of late. Everything from the pacing to the gripping way it was written, right down to the emotions it evokes from you. This book was just incredible and will most assuredly stay with you long past its end.
