Acerca de esta escucha

The Fury of the Gods is the earth-shattering final book in John Gwynne's bestselling Norse-inspired epic fantasy series, packed with myth, magic and bloody vengeance.

The final battle for the fate of Vigrid approaches...

Varg has overcome the trials of his past and become an accepted member of the Bloodsworn, but now he and his newfound comrades face their biggest challenge yet: slaying a dragon.

Elvar is struggling to consolidate her power in Snakavik, where she faces threats from without and within. As she fights to assert her authority in readiness for the coming conflict, she faces a surely insurmountable task: reigning in the ferocity of a wolf god.

As Biórr and his warband make their way north, eager for blood, Guðvarr pursues a mission of his own, hoping to win Lik-Rifa’s favor and further his own ambitions.

All paths lead to Snakavik, where the lines are being drawn for the final battle—a titanic clash that will shake the foundations of the world and bear witness to the true fury of the gods.

Beautiful Ending

What a fantastic ending to the series. Will have you laughing, crying and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next chapter. My heart goes out to John and his family, thank you for finishing this series. Hopefully your family can overcome this unthinkable hardship. Grief is deep water. Can’t wait for whatever he does next.

Last 3 hours are such a roller coaster

I started consistently reading at the start of the year and one of the reasons i was able to get into it was from starting this trilogy. I was immediately hooked and finished Shadow and Hunger of the Gods within a month and couldn’t wait for Fury of the Gods to release.
I loved this book. What a great, epic conclusion to this trilogy, with a cheeky detail in the closing chapters leading the reader to think we might hear from this world again. As per usual, the fights are gritty and brutal. The character dynamics are so interesting, i couldn’t wait to see all this characters collide and interact. The only thing i had a hard time with was keeping up with all the names at times. Maybe that’s because i didn’t reread the two previous books before this, but there were times where, specifically side characters, names would be said and i would rewind or reread and go, “who is that”. Other than that, the book was great. You know what you’re getting into when you open this book. Epic battles, some twists and shocks, and heartfelt characters that will have you scared they might not survive the chapter.

Terrific conclusion to an epic story

I do not usually leave full reviews, but this time I feel I need to. I discovered the Bloodsworn Saga after John had already published The Hunger of the Gods. When I started the first book I was immediately in love with the cast of characters. they all felt so real and alive. the action sequences flowed like a movie through my head.

This book took everything that I loved about the first two books and cranked it up to 11. I got to see sides of characters that had not been explored yet. Family and Kin is a huge part of this book. I love found family stories and this is one of the best told ones I have ever heard. These characters live in my head all day, every day. The combat scenes were more detailed, more visceral and so much more immense in scale than anything the trilogy had given us up to this point. There were multiple points that I found myself rewinding to listen to the details again. I was tearing up at the end of the book. There were a lot of vharactwrs that made it tocthe end but we lost some of them on the way, including a few of my favorite and a few that I did not see coming at all. I was so emotionally invested in this book, I could feel the emotions of each character as we got their pov.

This part of my review is specifically for John Gwynne.
I do not know if you will read this review personally, but I wanted to thank you for being you.
after I read The Hunger of The Gods, and saw your dedication to your daughter, I learned that you lost her. My heart ached for you. I have two sons and they are my entire world. When I saw this I was worried, not that I would never get the conclusion to your story, but that there would be people who harassed you about hurrying up and rushed you to complete the story. When I got to the end credits and learned that did not happen and you had so much support I teared up and my wife thought I was crying about something happening in the story. You talked about family being one of the most important things in your entire life. That truly comes across in your writing. You are an inspiration to anybody who is struggling. Once again, Thank you sir.

Sad it is over

Absolutely gripping trilogy that I listened every second I was able. The characters had me me wanting to listen to everyone of them no matter the chapter switch. The only bad part of the series is that it is over now. Awesome read and will definitely return back to in the future.

What a Conslusion

what an absolute ride. There is practically zero slack. It picks up from book 2 as if It was trying to get the speed record. Usually the saying goes, the journey is more important than the destination, but in this case the destination is so worth it that it stands to stare it eye to eye. Truly a fantastic finale.
