So funny!

Story: 5 stars

This plot is just one thing after another and all of them are so funny! I'd keep laughing out loud and then quickly check to see that no one overheard me ;-)

The author does a very detailed job of establishing character, time, setting, etc. Then she starts to run with the plot!

The heroine is stuck with the most obtuse, stubborn father and brothers as ever existed!

The hero has a superb sense of humor, but even his good nature is put to the test by the circumstances he is put in.

It's a clean, sweet and very funny love story!

Narration: 5 stars

Julia Eve is a favorite of mine! Her accents are spot-on and she is able to have enough range that many of the characters have their own "voices". Her timbre is low enough that the men sound like men. Her vocal age-range is really quite good, as well: old people sound old and children sound like children. It's a delight to listen to Ms. Eve! (AND she pronounces the word "valet" correctly!)

I Loved It!!!

Now this is a story for this time of the year!
It is a slow simmering tale of love developing between two characters who are perfect for each other - if only they can see it.
Add in an interfering and somewhat stupid father and his twin sons who follow his orders regardless of their logic, a greedy abductor and some other rather interesting family members and we have a story worth reading or listening to!
Then have Julia Eve do the narration - the cherry on the top. What a fabulous production.
I loved it!!!!
I listened to the audiobook version and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

good story

The father and brothers were ridiculous dunderheads without a brain cell amongst them. They only listened to themselves without common sense. I liked the aunt setting her father straight. He needed to shut up and listen for a change. I enjoyed the push and pull of the couple denying their feelings until they couldn't. Good ending. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.
