GUIDE TO NEW YORK UNDERWORLD

If you are looking for a deep dive into the end-to-end history of the mafia in the USA, especially the birthplace of the mafia, New York, this is the book for you. I'm a bit of a mafia buff, but I sometimes find it challenging to keep track of who all the players are, what families they are from, etc. This book helps solidify and give you a view that helps break it down in a more organized fashion. If you want to learn how the 5 families came to be and what happened to them, this is your mafia guide.

Must have

This is the best collection of audiobooks about the Mob out there. The collection is well-researched and full of facts, not fiction. Each of the narrator's performances is A+ I Highly recommend it.

The history

The genre in itself but also the history and how it impacted life both in the US as well as overseas.

What stood out was some of the narrators were better than others

The narrator of the Colombo family book was boring the others were better. I like how they all update with what the Mafia is like today. It was really insightful.

Nothing new here. There are better histories available.

If you are going to narrate, then please pronounce surnames correctly. It just takes some research.

Most useless book I’ve ever listened to,

No details, just gibberish from the beginning to the end, better listen to selwyn raabs book 100 times
