About this listen

Wouldn’t you want to travel to a fantasy world, discover the secrets of magic, and live your own legend? Well, Emily went through exactly that, but it didn’t start all that well for her.

Emily Erikson, an avid tabletop RPG fan and dungeon master, finds herself in a world full of wonder where the very gods walk the lands, with no idea of how she got here. When her knowledge of popular fantasy tropes proves to be an unreliable basis for making choices, she must quickly learn to adapt to everything that’s thrown her way—or she may need to look for a True Resurrection spell.

But this world had yet to know magic, until Emily, the first mage this world has ever seen, came along. Will she manage to carve out a safe haven for herself and her friends while being hunted by gods and men? Or will her own powers end up being her undoing?

main character very believable actions and thoughts. Not the typical start in a forest. Worth the listen.

What an incredible read. I stumbled across it by chance, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Normally, I follow what’s popular, so I might have overlooked this one simply because it isn’t widely talked about. But I gave it a shot—and I’m genuinely glad I did. I ended up really loving it.

Fantastic listen

It reads like it was written by a 12yr old girl. Im sure some people might like that but. Not me. The plot is like the melted ice left in the bottom of a cup after it melts. Useless. slow, boring.

Slow childish garbage.
